Thank you for requesting to download KWAD’s (“KWAD”) mobile application What’sBumpin (“App”). KWAD respects the privacy of our visitors, customers, and partners.
Information Collection and Use
In order to use the App, we request certain personally identifiable information (“PII”) from you and require you to create a user name and password. During registration you are required to give contact information (such as name and email address). We also ask you to set up a password and provide us with your university or college major, your expected graduation year and your dorm or residence name. You may elect to enter your photo and interests into the App.
We use this information to register you to use our services, contact you to deliver certain services or information you have requested, verify your authority to use our App, improve the content and general administration of the App and our services and for targeted marketing purposes.
If you elect to invite your friends to use the App, we will collect the emails and/or social networking handles of your friends and/or contacts based on the platform you selected to import contacts. We will use this information only to send your contacts or friends an invitation to download and use the App. If you download the App based on an invitation, you will be connected to that friend within the App and you will be able to view each other’s profiles.
Use of App
When using the App, we may collect information such as your browser, device and platform type. We will also collect geo-location data from your device on which you use the App. We will use such data to enable the App to interoperate with your device, improve the content and general administration of the App and our services and for targeted marketing purposes.
If you add an event to the App, you will provide the name of the event, place and location and start and end times for the event. You may set an event so that only your friends within the App can view the event. If you set an event as being public, other App users in the relevant geographic area will be able to view your event as well as your name and photo.
You can set the App to automatically check you in when you attend events posted on the App. You can also set the App to alert you to check in at an event, or so you will not be checked in to any events and will only appear anonymously at locations. When you check in to an event or use the App to locate or view events, the App will collect the geo-location of where you are located. If you turn off geo-location services on your mobile device, the App may not function. If you elect not to check-in to events or locations and to appear anonymously, you will not be able to submit information about those locations or events to the App.
If you consent to receive notices from the App of events, we will send you push notifications of events near you. If you do not receive push notices from the App, you can find events within your feed in the App.
The App uses the Google Maps API(s) and your use of the App is also subject to http://www.google.com/policies/privacy.html that is incorporated by reference herein.
Additionally, see “How Do We Share Your PII?” below.
We will send you a message when someone adds you as a friend.
Photos and Files
You have the ability to upload photos on the App for your profile and events that you post or attend. Please be aware that if you do this then your photo may be viewed by other users of the App. You may remove your photo by going to “Account Settings” and changing your options.
The App may track the total number of users of the App, how you use the App and errors within the App. We may analyze this data for trends and statistics in the aggregate, but such information will be maintained, used and disclosed in aggregate form only and it will not contain PII. We may also use such aggregate information to administer the App and track and correct errors, track users’ movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
How do we Share Your PII?
We reserve the right to disclose your PII as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on KWAD.
KWAD may also report to law enforcement or other appropriate government authorities any actions that may be suspicious or illegal, and any reports it receives of such conduct and in conjunction with such report, may disclose your PII to law enforcement or other appropriate government authorities. When legally required or at KWAD’S discretion, KWAD will disclose your PII and may cooperate with law enforcement or appropriate government agencies in any investigation.
We may transfer your PII to a successor entity upon a merger, consolidation or other corporate reorganization in which KWAD participates or to a purchaser of all or substantially all of KWAD’S assets to which this App relates.
How is your PII Retained and Secured?
We employ procedural and technological measures that are reasonably designed to help protect your PII from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. KWAD may use firewalls, password protection, secure socket layer, database encryption, and other security measures to help prevent unauthorized access to your PII. The security of your personal information is important to us and we take reasonable steps to maintain the security of that information.

KWAD provides you with the ability to review, correct and delete the PII that you have provided to us in your account. If you wish to review or correct any information you have provided to us, you may access your account and review, correct, and/or delete your PII by logging into your account and selecting “Account Settings”.
