With final papers and tests rapidly approaching, it can be hard to think past the next couple of weeks to what comes after…. The holidays!!! Black Friday and Cyber Monday heralded in the holiday shopping season this past week, but if you’re anything like me, these big events passed without a second thought.
I’m not a huge shopper or gift giver and generally fall flat around holiday season. Black Friday is too overwhelming so I leave holiday shopping up to the last minute. For better or for worse this means that my friends and family usually each get a generic bag of chocolates around the holidays. Luckily, the annual Macalester Holiday Craft Sale is this Friday – and I’m definitely not passing it up!
If you’re still searching for that perfect holiday gift, come check out the Macalester craft sale from 1-4 today in the basement of the Campus Center. Crafts include scarves, pottery, jewelry, and more! What’s even better is that everything is handmade by Mac students and faculty. Avoid the overwhelming shopping extravaganzas while, buy meaningful gifts for friends and family, and do it all from the cozy atmosphere of the campus center basement!
